Recordings of symphonies 6 and 8 released
The Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor Jonathan Nott have recently finished a project that they've been working on for almost ten years: The recording of all completed symphonies of Gustav Mahler (listen now). By publishing symphonies No. 6 and No. 8 in September 2013, the cycle is finally completed. Some of the recordings have been awarded international prizes as the MIDEM Classical Award. All recordings of the cycle have been published by the label TUDOR, a partner of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra for many years now that has already published almost 50 CDs of the orchestra, and in cooperation with the Bayerischer Rundfunk, partner of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra since the 1950s. That’s why we feel it our special duty to give audiences only our best.
