Participating Conditions
To register for the International Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition the participants must fulfill the following prerequisites and send the required documents to the address indicated by 30 September 2012 (delivery date). Late or incomplete entries will not be taken into account. The submitted documents shall remain in the hands of the Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition.
- Participants must be maximum 35 years of age on 1.1.2013
- A completed and signed Application Form, additionally a completed online application form
- A DVD or similar with good audio and picture quality with meaningful performances of a variety of works
- Copies of certificates, references, reports etc. that document conducting experience to date
- Curriculum Vitae in German or English
- 3 recent photos
- A copy of current passport

From the submitted files and DVDs the Jury members will chose the candidates who will be invited to participate. All candidates who apply will be given written notice of the Jury’s decision by the end of December 2012 (date of sending) informing them of whether or not they are invited to participate. Should the situation arise that an invited candidate is not able to participate, the Competition Director will subsequently invite a candidate previously
turned down.
