What is the value of the prizes?

The first prize carries the value of 20,000 €, the second 10,000 € and the third and fourth prizes are 5,000 €.

Who is in the jury?

The jury of the International Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition consists of internationally renowned conductors, composers and managers. Marina Mahler, grand-daughter of Gustav Mahler, is honorary member of the jury. For a complete list of jury members in 2007 please click here. The jury for the upcoming competition in 2010 has not been decided yet and will probably be announced in autumn 2008.

Is the competition open to the public?

The public is only excluded from the first round of the competition and visitors are welcome to listen to the semi-final and the final.
