Competition running order

The competition will take place over four rounds. 

The repertoire or sections which will be the focus in the first round of the competition has been indicated for the candidates in the invitation letter (sent out at the end of December 2012). The focus of repertoire for the second round will be announced to the successful candidates on completion of round one.

From the semi-finals, which will start on Wednesday, 12 June 2013, including the finals the competition is open to the public.

Final Concert - 19.00 h

The first prize winner or the competition winner will conduct a public concert on Friday 14 June 2013 with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra in the Bamberg Concert Hall. The concert programme will include repertoire from the Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition.
